IGNITE Performing Arts is a non-profit organization providing educational opportunities for students in Shelby County, Indiana. IGNITE fielded winter percussion units and winter guard units in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons, and is preparing for its fourth season of operations–the 2024 season–to begin in November 2023.
In 2023, IGNITE Winter Percussion’s show was “We Will.” Using the music of Queen, it told the story of a rock band’s journey from the garage to the big stage. The show took 2nd place at the WGI Indianapolis Percussion Regional and 1st place at IPA State Finals, the ensemble’s 2nd consecutive state championship.
IGNITE Winter Guard’s 2023 show was “Mr. Sandman”. The guard competed in several IHSCGA events and was a finalist at the WGI Indianapolis Guard Regional.
